AS POTENT AS VIAGRA...

The Sunday Tribune featured the following news story in their Men's Health section yesterday:

"SCIENTISTS LOOK AT POMEGRANATE JUICE TO BOOST MEN'S CONFIDENCE IN THE BEDROOM!
 
It may look and taste just like any other fruit juice on the market, but pomegranate juice is proving pretty powerful stuff when it comes to men's health. Currently in the spotlight for its healing properties, scientists are now looking at the pomegranate fruit's ability to slow down prostate cancer boost sperm mobility and even help combat erectile dysfunction (ED).
 
Infact a study by the University of California, recently published in the International Journal of Importance Research, revealed that a glass of pomegranate juice a day is as potent as Viagra. As part of the study, 53 men with impotence problems drank pomegranate juice daily for one month. At the end of the month, almost 50% of the participants claimed their ability to perform sexually had improved.
 
"The pomegranate juice is rich in antioxidants which increases bloody supply to the genitals," explains lead researcher of the study, Dr Forest.
 
Several causes of ED which include diabetes, high blood pressure, arterial plague, and heart disease, can be helped by the anti-atherosclerosis activity of the active ingredients in pomegranate juice. According to the experts drinking eight ounces (0.24 litres) of pomegranate juice daily, may help manage erectile dysfunction and impotence.
 
Other key research linking pomegranate fruit to men's health includes findings that indicate it may slow the progression of post-treatment prostate cancer recurrence. A recent study appearing in the Journal of Urology looked at the long-term follow up of men with prostate cancer and found that pomegranate juice helped to prolong PSA doubling time.
 
In addition the pomegranate fruit is also believed to have a positive effect on male fertility. If taken regularly the seeds in the fruit are believed to enhance the quality and mobility of sperm."
