The new 3 trick formula to Ultimate Confidence by Simon Lovell...
After my years of experience, I’ve learned that creating ultimate confidence comes down to getting three vital elements in place. Your mindset, nutrition and fitness. I was once a bullied, overweight teen, so I know what it’s like to have no confidence. When you’re down there, it’s hard to see a way out, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Once you’ve taken care of each of these elements and put in the strategies to build them into your life, you’ll notice that a lot around you starts to change with little effort, so I’ve come up with a few tips on each element to help you get started!
Mindset
- Forget everything that’s happened before today. Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want. Remember that if you’ve got a negative image of yourself and keep thinking of it, these mental habits will stack up, so be quick to divert them when they arrive. Stack new thoughts that empower you, not mentally drain you.
- Write down your goals on all areas of your life and have them on a card that you can take with you. Look at this card at least a few times a day and you’ll start to develop new skills that put you on the right path for health, diet and fitness. Set both long and short term goals.
Nutrition
- Eat small regular meals of natural foods like vegetables, meat and good quality carbs such as wholemeal and rye. Think back to the early days when there were no shops. Would you have been able to buy junk food? No! It’s all about what your taste buds have been conditioned to. Eating foods with low nutritional value affects your body which will have an affect on your confidence levels. Also ensure you drink a couple of litres of water a day with your healthy lunch box.
- Make a food diary once a month to see what you’re eating. Tick everything with good nutritional value and cross everything that’s bad. Work out which you score highest in and slowly start to bring in healthy foods to replace the crosses. You’ll start to notice big chances when you perform this method and create long lasting change. Don’t try and change everything at once or you might rebel. So, drinking Pomegreat once a day instead of cola or lemonade is a great way to start one technique.
Fitness
- You may have negative associations to exercise, so if when I say ‘gym’ you start thinking of something that isn’t enjoyable, you’ve got a negative association. This needs to be changed. That might be by hiring a personal trainer to teach you new and exciting ways to get fit. It might be to try a new sport or to get your friends involved. Understand that if fitness isn’t in your life in some form at least a few times a week, you’re not maximising your life and you’re not gaining the confidence you could have.
- Set mini targets building up to big targets. This might start off to jog for 10 minutes increasing to 45 minutes within a month. Try and beat your personal best and write down everything. If you’re doing the same thing exercise wise as you’ve always done, don’t expect to get results. Ultimate confidence comes when you’re breaking your personal boundaries and getting a sense of achievement.
